Class Teacher

The City of Vantaa is seeking a flexible and team-oriented class teacher for Swedish language immersion education at Uomarinne Primary School in Myyrmäki. Uomarinne is a diverse learning center with nearly 700 students and 100 staff members, offering basic education as well as Swedish immersion, special, and preparatory education. The school operates as a ProKoulu, emphasizing values of safety, community, trust, equality, and respect. The role involves working within a grade-level team and collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive community that values open interaction and strong cooperation between home and school. The position is a fixed-term official relationship from August 24, 2026, to June 6, 2027. Requirements include the legal qualifications for teaching staff according to Decree 986/1998 and sufficient language proficiency as per the National Board of Education's regulations for non-native language instruction. Experience in language immersion education, strong interaction skills, and the ability to be an active team member are required. Flexibility, innovation, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are considered assets. A valid criminal record extract is mandatory.
