A fixed-term position for a SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER in Early Childhood Education is available in the Northern area of Early Childhood Special Education for the period 17.8.2026 - 14.4.2027. The eligibility requirement for a special education teacher in early childhood education is the eligibility according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018 30§), taking into account applicants according to the transitional provision for personnel (75§) of the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018. In addition, appropriate specialization training and a postgraduate degree according to Section 2 of Decree (608/2005) or a Master of Education degree with a major in special pedagogy is required. The position-specific salary for the special education teacher in early childhood education is based on the level salary system and the levels of competence and responsibility. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) before accepting the position. According to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act, the employer is responsible for requiring a reliable statement from the employee and trainee/student before starting work that they do not suffer from respiratory tuberculosis. The statement is made before the employment contract is signed. A probationary period is used in the position.
