Event Manager

Kolmen kampuksen urheiluopisto was formed when the Pajulahti and Kisakallio sports institutes merged in 2025. We operate across three campuses: Pajulahti, Kisakallio and Mäkelänrinne. THE ROLE As Event Manager, you will be responsible for actively sourcing, coordinating and practically delivering events for the Education, Expertise and Coaching Centre unit. The role covers the event sales phase, preparation, production and delivery in cooperation with our service teams. You will be responsible for goal-oriented delivery and development of event operations and ensure continuity and monitoring. You will coordinate the needs of customers, partners and our organisation and ensure that events are delivered with quality, responsibility, safety and successful results. National and international sports and exercise events, seminars and conferences organised by our business unit are central to the role. The position also includes a separately agreed role supporting the sales team. The Event Manager’s duties include: - Actively sourcing events and promoting sales. - Planning, coordinating, producing and practically delivering event packages. - Developing the organisation’s sports and exercise events, sports seminars and conferences. - Proactively collaborating with customers, partners, service teams and organisational experts. - Building customer-focused, high-quality and adaptable event solutions. - Ensuring operational objectives, continuity and monitoring. - Supporting the unit’s financial planning and achievement of targets. - Putting the company strategy and shared practices into everyday event operations. - Building and maintaining stakeholder networks in the events sector. - Supporting our business unit’s sales team in a separately agreed role. Requirements for success: - Experience in selling, planning and producing national and international sports events. - Ability to understand, coordinate and successfully deliver extensive projects. - An active, self-starting and practical approach to work. - Customer-oriented thinking and strong collaboration and communication skills. - Good spoken and written Finnish and English. - Confidence in presenting and ability to work with different stakeholders. - Willingness to attend customer and partner locations and events. - Willingness to travel in Finland and, by separate agreement, abroad, and to work varying hours required by event work. - Motivation, willingness to learn and desire to develop event operations. The following are also considered an advantage: - Relevant domestic and international networks. - Commercial understanding, experience in paid service business and financial planning. - Experience developing event operations or a team. - Event communications skills. - Familiarity with Adobe software.
