We are seeking practical nurses and registered nurses for on-call work at Avara Siuntio's 24-hour substance abuse detoxification and rehabilitation unit. Avara Siuntio is a 14-bed, home-like unit located in the Siuntio countryside. Our care ideology is based on the holistic care of the client, where interaction and being heard are of great importance. In our care, we take into account the client's entire life history and its effects on the present. Our multidisciplinary team consists of registered nurses, practical nurses, a social worker, and a facility caretaker. Job description: As a practical nurse or registered nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the holistic nursing care of clients during the substance abuse detoxification and rehabilitation phase. The work includes, among other things: - Implementation and monitoring of medication therapy - Facilitating groups - Individual discussions - Supporting and guiding clients - Network work - Maintaining a safe and rehabilitative care environment Requirements: - A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a previous college-level degree, a specialist nursing degree, or a degree as a public health nurse or midwife, including legalization as a registered nurse. The position requires legalization in Finland according to the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994, 1200/2007) or 140 ECTS credits completed by a nursing student. - A practical nurse degree - we require registration in Valvira's central register of professionals or 2/3 of the studies completed. - Good oral and satisfactory written skills in Finnish. - Vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis screening according to Section 55. - Valid or obtainable medication permits (LOVe, Lop, Pkv, Psyk) - Good interaction skills and a responsible approach to work Considered an advantage: - Experience in substance abuse and/or mental health work - Interest in substance abuse treatment and rehabilitative nursing care - Ability to work calmly in challenging and varying situations We offer: - Meaningful and diverse work - Good orientation to the role - A professional and supportive work community - The opportunity to gain valuable experience in substance abuse and mental health work Salary: Hourly wage G20C-G23D according to the collective agreement for the private social services sector.
