Are you passionate about your work and have the ability to act as a supervisor, but can also participate in the work of electronics installers if necessary? Do you have expertise in electronics/communications maintenance and can apply your knowledge to the rescue service operating environment? If you answered yes, you may be the new colleague we are looking for! The permanent position is located in the security of supply services of the Helsinki Rescue Department, in the Readiness and Continuity unit. Your task is to lead the work in the electronics maintenance team, which consists of four electronics maintenance installers and a communications designer. Electronics maintenance extensively handles television installations at stations, station public address systems, communication installations in vehicles, public sirens, official communication devices, and much more belonging to command systems. Your work also includes participating in various projects of the rescue department, bringing your own expertise as an expert. Successful performance of the task requires self-management skills and goal-oriented adherence to given schedules, experience in communications/electronics maintenance, good interaction skills, and good IT skills. You have the ability to act quickly in rapidly changing situations and your approach to work is structured and solution-oriented. It is important to us that you are interested and excited to develop yourself in supervisory work. Eligibility requirements for the task: - Suitable university degree or suitable vocational education - Class B driver's license - Good oral and written Finnish language skills We consider as an advantage: - Work experience from rescue operations - Work experience from supervisory work - Work experience from electronics/communications maintenance work - Experience in operating with various official command systems The start date of the task is October 1, 2026, or by agreement. There is a six-month probationary period in the task and the official and collective agreement according to Appendix 7 of HYVTES is followed. Before the employment begins, you must give consent to a personal security clearance in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (726/2014). In addition, the selected person is required to undergo a drug test in accordance with the City of Helsinki's personnel drug program. Your workplace is mainly at the Malmi fire station, but the field of work covers all operating points of the rescue department.
