Practical Nurse

How does starting the year with a new job sound? We are looking for a practical nurse for a full-time substitute position in a unit for people with severe disabilities located in Riihimäki. The start date would be immediately or in July 2026, according to your preference. The duration of the substitution would be through the summer until September. There is also a possibility to continue after September depending on the unit's needs. Job Description: The site is located in Riihimäki. The building contains units for both people with intellectual disabilities and severe disabilities. This substitution is in the unit for severe disabilities (neurological and physical), and the activity is physical nursing work similar to a hospital environment. In this role, you will work with varied tasks and utilize your expertise in basic care and guidance. The unit provides housing and care services for disabled persons, supporting their daily lives with a rehabilitative approach. The work is a 2-shift rotation across the full week (Mon-Sun), and full working hours are available. Requirements: You can be a graduated practical nurse with Valvira registration. We especially value the ability to work independently and strong interaction skills. You should also have valid medication permits or the readiness to complete them. We hope you have experience working with disabled people. The selected employee is required to have vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in client and patient areas, as well as a hygiene passport. Due to legislative changes, those working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract as specified in Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act.
