We have churches dating back to the 1300s, functional properties totaling 73,000 m2 and investment properties of 50,000 m2. In the property and cemetery operations, 140 employees work, with staffing increasing for the summer. We are now looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the property and cemetery operations area. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the activities of property and cemetery services, and for civil defence matters of congregations, as well as security and environmental issues of properties. The property services responsibilities include maintenance and upkeep of buildings, new construction including facility project planning, construction and procurement, development of property assets, disposal of properties, planning permits, sales, purchasing and leasing related preparatory actions, ensuring appropriateness of facilities and furnishings, camp meal services and reservations, and comprehensive environmental work. The cemetery services responsibilities include statutory cemetery and cemetery grounds services, arranging cemetery maintenance, crematorium services, guidance for green areas and the congregation’s forests, and vehicle and transport services. Requirements: a higher university degree suitable for the position, leadership experience and good familiarity with the property sector, excellent Finnish and satisfactory Swedish language skills. Additional valued: practical experience with property construction projects and maintenance of a significant property portfolio, strong communication and negotiation skills and an inclusive working approach. We offer a meaningful and diverse role in a good team, competitive benefits, base salary in pay grade 702 (~6700 EUR/month) plus experience allowance and performance-based pay share, comprehensive occupational health services, strong staff benefits (lunch benefit, fitness/culture/wellbeing and commuting benefits), opportunities for training and development, and partial remote work. The position requires a pre-employment medical examination, and the appointee must be an affirming member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. The role starts 1 March 2027 or by agreement, with onboarding in autumn in a temporary contract. Interviews will be held in week 44.
