We are seeking a skilled machinist for our client Polarteknik Oy for a permanent full-time position (40 h/week) with an open-ended contract. Polarteknik Oy is a Finnish company specializing in door solutions for rail traffic, designing and manufacturing high-quality interior door systems for the world's leading train manufacturers. The company is known for its strong technical expertise, reliability, and long-term development work. The work involves versatile machining of aluminum profiles as part of the production of interior door assemblies for trains. In this role, you will work with two machining centers and a semi-automatic saw. You will participate comprehensively in the production process, from machining to measurement and quality assurance. Precision, quality, and technical expertise are emphasized in the work. The role includes making setups, modifying programs, and manufacturing parts according to drawings. Work is done in close cooperation with other production units, but the position also requires an independent and responsible approach to work. Initially, work is performed in a 2-shift system on weekdays; in autumn, there may be a transition to 3-shift work. Morning shifts are from 6:00 to 14:00 and evening shifts from 14:00 to 24:00. Due to longer working days during evening shift weeks, Fridays are free. Start date is by agreement at the turn of July and August.
