As a Commissioning Engineer, you will work on the commissioning of Schneider's application solutions by testing and being responsible for switchgear, generators, UPS devices, and other electrical monitoring. You will configure the hardware to communicate correctly with other systems and protocols. Nothing is left to chance, meaning all steps are tested, quality-assured, and monitored to achieve the best possible performance and ensure all values are correctly recorded in the database. To ensure the best possible start, you will receive an induction and participate in Schneider's internal training. You will be part of a small team with an open atmosphere and a strong sense of cohesion. On-site work takes place in good company with both internal and external colleagues. The employment begins at the end of May or the beginning of June 2026. Responsibilities As a Commissioning Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that the electrical monitoring in the system or switchgear functions correctly before commissioning. Your duties mainly consist of the following: - Configuration and commissioning of the entire application solution - General electrical monitoring to ensure specifications and standards are met - Performing various tests to identify potential problems and ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely - Collecting and compiling all necessary documentation, including test results and commissioning reports - Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure smooth operations and customer cooperation Requirements - Relevant educational background in electrical or automation fields (e.g., electrician or UAS studies) - Knowledge of electricity through education or previous work experience - Strong and genuine interest in both technology and data - Fluent English language skills - Category B driver's license and own car We value if you have - Fluent Finnish language skills are considered an advantage - Previous experience working with servers or switches - Knowledge or experience with SCADA systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) - Experience with Modbus, BACnet, or other communication protocols To succeed in the role, you are: - Responsible – you take responsibility for your primary tasks, communicate honestly and openly, and show interest and commitment to your work. - A relationship builder – you build and maintain meaningful relationships with both customers and colleagues.
