We are looking for an experienced heavy steel structure welder for LP-Group Kangasniemi Oy! LP-Group Kangasniemi Oy manufactures versatile steel structures and components for various industrial needs. We are now seeking an experienced welder to strengthen the production team for the manufacture of heavy steel structures. Job Description Your tasks at LP-Group Kangasniemi Oy <https://www.lp-group.com/> will focus on welding heavier materials, primarily using the MAG welding method. You will weld plates and beams made of carbon steel with material thicknesses ranging from approximately 5–70 mm. The work includes shaping parts, bracing, assembly welding, and correcting necessary thermal distortions. All work is performed according to technical drawings. Work is performed in day shifts. It is considered an advantage if you have the possibility to work in a 2-shift system if necessary. Work starts as soon as possible by agreement. Requirements for the Position We expect several years of experience in welding similar heavy materials, good ability to read drawings, and the capacity for independent and careful work. The position requires experience in anticipating and controlling thermal distortions caused by welding. Since the pieces being processed are heavy, previous experience in using cranes is essential for the role. The position requires fluent communication in either Finnish or English. Valid welding certifications and TIG welding skills are considered an advantage.
