Quality Engineer / Supervisor – Substation Project 📍 Location: Hamina, Finland 📅 Contract Length: 12 Months ⏰ Schedule: Full-Time, Site-Based 💰 Rate: Competitive Hourly Rate Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a major Substation Project in Hamina, Finland. This is a full-time, site-based role supporting the delivery of a large-scale electrical infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality standards, ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry regulations, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS). Conduct quality inspections and audits across civil, mechanical, and electrical works. Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation. Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality improvements. Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements. Support quality reviews, site inspections, and commissioning activities. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with project management, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction, Quality Management, or a related discipline. Previous experience as a Quality Engineer on Substation, Power Transmission, Data Centre, or large industrial projects. Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes. Experience with inspection procedures, audits, and document control. Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
