About the role

Aivovammaliitto is a patient organization for people with acquired brain injuries, those who have suffered a cerebrovascular accident, and others who have experienced brain damage. Aivovammaliitto is responsible for national peer support and experience-based activities and supports the operations of local associations. In addition to annual peer support events and camps, we organize online activities. We are seeking an Organization Planner to be the employee responsible for peer support events and experience-based activities. As an Organization Planner, your duties include planning national peer support events together with volunteer peer instructors and acting as the lead instructor at events. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to maintain control and ensure the smooth and safe implementation of events. Experience-based activities at Aivovammaliitto include training for experience-based practitioners and facilitating speaking engagements for various parties upon request. Cooperation with various networks and operators, as well as the guidance and counseling of volunteers, are essential parts of the work. Duties: - planning, implementing, and acting as an instructor for peer support events - coordinating experience-based activities - training, support, and guidance of volunteers - communication and network cooperation - monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of activities Requirements: - suitable university degree - ability to manage large customer entities - experience in group facilitation - good IT skills - good social skills and ability to cooperate Considered an advantage: - work experience with people with acquired brain injuries or cerebrovascular accidents - work experience in a social and health care organization - experience working with volunteers - previous coordination of experience-based activities About the Employer Aivovammaliitto's operations expanded at the beginning of 2026 to cover not only those with accidental brain injuries but also people who have suffered a cerebrovascular accident or other brain damage, and their loved ones. With this reform, the association further strengthens its role as a national expert in brain health, prevention of brain damage, rehabilitation, and advocacy.
