About the role

Folkhälsan Välfärd is recruiting an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the Gunghästen day care in Turku, which is a Swedish-language, health-promoting, and nature-oriented day care. The day care is centrally located in Österås with parks and nature within walking distance. We are very active in both the forest and the immediate surroundings. The position is a full-time permanent employment starting in August 2026 by agreement. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you are responsible for and plan the pedagogical activities. The work takes place in an environment with knowledgeable pedagogues and other experts. You are the team leader for your work team. At the day care, we work in accordance with the National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care and Folkhälsan's handbook. Abilities such as creativity, willingness to cooperate, flexibility, communication, and health-promoting working methods are valued by us. Eligibility requirements are qualification according to the Act on Early Childhood Education and Care (540/2018) or according to the current transitional provision (Section 75): Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education Teacher), a suitable university of applied sciences degree, or a previous equivalent institute-level degree, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social pedagogue. The salary is according to the collective agreement for private early childhood education.
