Metsä Board is seeking an Electrical and Automation Maintenance Technician for its Äänekoski mill for a permanent position. As a maintenance technician, you play an important role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the plant's production. You are responsible for ensuring that electrical and automation systems and production equipment operate reliably, safely, and efficiently as part of daily production. Your work consists mainly of troubleshooting as well as corrective and preventive maintenance. You actively participate in solving disturbance situations and identifying root causes, and you develop equipment and operating methods to keep production availability at a high level. In addition, you take care of work documentation and utilize systems in work planning and management. You work closely with production, mechanical maintenance and other stakeholders, and influence the performance of the entire plant with your actions. Collaboration skills, an ability to grasp the whole, and a proactive working style are emphasized in the role. The position offers a versatile opportunity to develop your expertise in process industry electrical and automation technologies. In addition, knowledge of process automation, field instrumentation and fieldbuses support your success in the position. In terms of working style, you are a proactive, responsible and active doer who takes on tasks and pushes them forward determinedly. You have good problem-solving skills and the ability to act also in changing situations. You can work safely, efficiently and independently as well as part of a team and communicate fluently with different stakeholders. You have a desire to develop your own expertise and participate in the continuous improvement of operations in the field of electricity and automation.
