Join the mood disorder clinic in Porvoo as an Assistant Chief Physician. In this role, you will combine clinical work, multidisciplinary collaboration, and leadership to impact both individual patients and the overall development of the service. You will be based in the East and Mid-Uusimaa psychiatry line at the Porvoo psychiatry ward, starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Key responsibilities include clinical patient work, supervising specialist doctors and medical students, leading a multidisciplinary team, and developing the clinic's treatment processes. You will work closely with the intensified outpatient care in Porvoo and other outpatient units, as well as networking with clinics in Hyvinkää and Järvenpää. There is also an option to participate in the psychiatric emergency rotation at Hyvinkää Hospital. Requirements include specialist qualification in psychiatry and a valid medical license. Experience in independent psychiatric work, interest in outpatient development, and strong communication and leadership skills are expected. Proficiency in both Finnish and Swedish is required (one at a high level and the other at a satisfactory level). Vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act and a tuberculosis clearance are mandatory.
