Practical Nurse

This posting announces full-time summer positions for a licensed practical nurse (lähihoitaja) in elderly home care, with housing support. The role involves supporting daily living in clients’ own homes, including basic nursing and medication administration, promoting independence and well-being, and multi-disciplinary collaboration with the home care team. Work days are varied and mobile; the team and Medistaff recruitment support the employee throughout the contract. Work shifts include morning and evening rotas (07:00–14:30 and 14:00–22:00) with two-shift operation, mainly Monday–Friday plus some Saturday morning shifts. Optional double shifts available on request. Compensation is 18.53 €/h including 9% holiday pay, with TES shift allowances. Biweekly payroll. Housing allowance available if needed. Onboarding training provided and ongoing support from the Medistaff team. Potential for longer placement through October. Requirements include being a Valvira-licensed practical nurse, valid medication competence (LOP, PKV; extra points for Kipu 1, Ger 1 & 2), proactive and responsible work attitude, strong Finnish language skills, and home care experience. A B-driver’s license is required; owning a car is beneficial but not essential. Kilometre reimbursement is provided for work journeys, typically around 40–60 km per shift.
