Chief Accountant

Etola Oy provides financial administration services to about 40 companies within the Etola group, most of which operate in Finland. The group also has subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway and Estonia. The turnover is about 580 million euros and staff about 1800. We are looking for a Chief Accountant for the finance department in a permanent position located at our head office in Helsinki Suutarila. The current Chief Accountant is retiring in autumn 2027, so we aim to onboard a new person gradually with support from the current head. As Chief Accountant you will oversee 13 finance professionals and be responsible for the entire financial administration processes of Etola Oy and named group companies. You will coordinate accounting, sales and cost accounting, credit control and payments. You will also participate in the accounting of the subsidiary companies, monthly reporting, drafting financial statements and tax declarations. The role offers opportunities to develop your area’s processes and systems and to drive practical improvements forward with your team. We expect a hands-on role where expertise, leadership, process development and collaboration in everyday finance go hand in hand. Reports are in accordance with FAS regulations and our reporting language is Finnish. We will consider candidates during the application period and the role may be filled as soon as a suitable person is found.
