Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are looking for you, an early childhood education teacher, to join our caring gang at Koivula to build a daily life where every child can grow and learn as their own unique self. Why Koivula? We implement pedagogically justified early childhood education that is Koivula-style but strongly based on the VASU, which we boldly develop to meet children's needs and city-wide goals related to reading, movement, and the prevention of segregation. What is the role? Permanent position starts Sept 1 or flexibly by agreement. We also consider graduating students. As an early childhood education teacher, you act as the pedagogical leader of your team together with another teacher or social worker. Together you are responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of pedagogy that meets children's needs and follows the early childhood education plan. Co-teaching is a central way of working, and pedagogical responsibility is shared with another teacher/social worker as well as a special education teacher and a language and culture teacher. A common Teams platform supports daily cooperation, planning, documentation, and information flow. Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree in Education including professional studies for early childhood education. Sufficient Finnish language skills are required. A criminal record extract is required.
