We are now seeking for the Sipoo early childhood education sector: EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER for a permanent position starting August 24, 2026, or by agreement. The place of assignment is Miili Day Care in Söderkulla, Sipoo. Our day care center is centrally located, in the immediate vicinity of Sipoonlahti School and within walking distance of both the library and the sports field. Construction work is currently underway in the area, as part of which the yard area of Miili Day Care will also be renewed. The day care center currently has five groups, three Finnish-speaking and two Swedish-speaking. In the coming operational period, we face a change as the Swedish-speaking groups move elsewhere and Sipoo's language immersion teaching moves to Miili Day Care. Small group activities are implemented daily in our day care center, and cooperation across group boundaries is part of everyday life. Our location near nature allows the learning environment to expand beyond the day care gates. Good sports facilities provide opportunities to support an active lifestyle. Joint celebrations, events, and cooperation with families promote community spirit and strengthen inclusion. At the start of employment, you will work in a small group of 3-5 year olds, where the pedagogy emphasizes unhurried encounters, wondering together, and practicing everyday skills through play. Small group activities across group boundaries are implemented, for example, in an art-music room where children can explore many forms of expression by singing, playing, creating art, and making music together. The eligibility requirement for the position is at least the qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), taking into account the entry into force and transitional provisions of sections 74 and 75. The selected early childhood education teacher must have excellent oral and written proficiency in Finnish. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to OVTES Early Childhood Education Teaching Staff (section G). The position-specific level salary is 3042.69 €/month + possible additions. A six-month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and an acceptable certificate of health. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with children under school age.
