Come build a new operation with us! We are looking for two enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and development-minded practical nurses for permanent employment in a day center opening in October 2026 in Leppävaara, Espoo. The service is aimed at homeless clients and clients using substances. The day center operates in connection with the Link health counseling point and offers low-threshold support, guidance, interaction, and help with basic daily needs. As a practical nurse, you will play an important role in supporting clients' daily lives. Your work includes guiding, advising, and supporting clients in matters related to health, well-being, and functional capacity. You will support the holistic well-being of clients and perform interactive client work emphasizing presence, respectful interaction, and consideration of clients' individual situations. Additionally, you will participate in the implementation and development of the day center's daily operations, documentation and reporting related to client work, and the maintenance of a safe and pleasant operating environment. We work in close daily cooperation with the health counseling point operating in the same premises, and your work may also include providing health counseling to clients. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary work community and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in substance abuse and addiction work as well as low-threshold services. Workplace name and address: Päiväkeskus Leppävaara, Läkkisepänkuja 4, 02650, Espoo. Working hours: General working hours, 38 h 15 min / week. The position is permanent. Eligibility requirements: Those acting under the title of practical nurse are required to have the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the task. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis screening according to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. We require a hygiene passport or its completion within two months of starting work. Those selected for employment may be randomly asked for a drug test in accordance with the substance abuse program of the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county. We value experience in substance abuse, mental health, and harm reduction client work, as well as interacting with clients in challenging life situations.
