Nurse Manager

Etelä-Pohjanmaa Wellbeing Services County has a ward manager position available in its local health services. The ward manager is responsible for the ward’s staff management and resourcing, the development and quality of nursing, and financial administration. The initial placement for the position is local health services ward TK A4 in Seinäjoki. Ward TK A4 has 26 beds and provides care for acute, palliative and end-of-life care patients. The ward also serves as a designated ward for palliative patients and as a support ward for the home hospital. The ward provides both acute care and symptom-relieving care according to the patient’s care plan. We expect you to have a strong ability to organise the unit’s operations in changing situations, independent skills in daily management and financial management, responsibility, good resilience under pressure, a development-oriented approach, and excellent cooperation and interaction skills. The eligibility requirement is registration as a healthcare professional under Act 559/1994 and a suitable higher university degree in social or health care, supplemented by sufficient studies in management or administration. Applicants are also required to have experience in supervisory work and performing similar duties. In our selection, in addition to the eligibility requirements, we will emphasise the applicant’s suitability for the position. The terms of employment and pay are determined according to the SOTE collective agreement in use, with level-based pay of €3,958.00 per month at the start of employment. A probationary period applies. An acceptable health certificate and a criminal-record extract under section 28 of Act 741/2023 must be presented before taking up the post. The person selected for the position may be required to provide a drug-test result. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection under section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a statement concerning respiratory tuberculosis under section 55.
