Would you like to influence technical solutions and take responsibility for entire automation projects? We are looking for a technical project manager for robotics and automation system customer projects for MTC Flextek. MTC Flextek offers a comprehensive range of machine tools, peripheral equipment, robotics, and injection molding machines, as well as industrial services and total solutions formed from these. Our goal is to produce value for our customers by improving their production processes and enabling more efficient operation with modern technological solutions. We serve our customers with about 60 experts, and our sites are located in six towns in Finland. We offer holistic services covering everything from project management and design to installation, training, and maintenance. Central values for us are trust, customer understanding, and cooperation – they guide all our activities and help us build long-term partnerships to support our customers' success. What would you be doing with us? As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the overall implementation of customer projects for robot and automation systems together with a team of experts. The role combines technical expertise and project management, and you act as the lead technical designer in projects, ensuring that solutions meet customer needs and work in practice. At the center of your work are customer-specific production automation solutions that combine robotics, mechanics, automation, software, and integrations of different systems. Projects are often implemented around existing machines and production processes, so the ability to perceive wholes and find working solutions for different production environments is emphasized. In your daily life, you lead 3–5 projects simultaneously in different stages and are responsible for their scheduling, financial monitoring, and smooth progress. You work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal experts and participate in supporting sales in defining delivery contents and building long-term customer relationships. The employment is permanent and full-time, and is concluded with MTC Flextek. You will work mainly at our Nurmijärvi site, but we have a flexible hybrid work model that allows up to three remote work days per week. In addition, you will get to meet customers in different parts of Finland. What are we looking for? You have at least five years of experience in technical design work, for example in automation, robotics, or mechanics, as well as experience in project work. You may have already acted in a project-responsible role or are ready to take the next step in your career towards overall responsibility for projects. The task is well-suited, for example, for an experienced designer who wants to take more responsibility for projects while maintaining a strong technical role. Success in the position requires appropriate technical education, such as an engineer's or master's degree, as well as the ability to perceive technical wholes and participate in the design of solutions. We value strong technical expertise, especially knowledge of automation systems and PLC expertise, as well as a good understanding of mechanics and equipment complexes. Our working language is Finnish, and in addition, we expect at least good English language skills from you. As a person, you are proactive, systematic, and solution-oriented. You enjoy cooperating with different stakeholders and operate naturally in the customer interface. You can manage several projects simultaneously and have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to understand how wholes work in practice. Why us? This is an excellent opportunity to increase responsibility from technical design to overall project management. You will have the support of an experienced organization and an expert team, but also the freedom to influence how projects are successfully brought to a goal. With us, you get to work with diverse and technically varying projects in different industrial sectors, from the machine shop industry to the manufacturing industry. Solutions are designed genuinely according to the customer's needs, so no two projects are exactly the same. Our operations are based on long-term work and practical decision-making. Daily life is clear and things are moved forward systematically. We have a competent and approachable group of people with whom you can work closely and share expertise. We support your professional development and offer the opportunity to grow in the role according to your experience and interest. Interested? If you are interested, we want to hear from you! Please send your application via the link as soon as possible, but no later than August 16, 2026. We will start interviews during the application period.
