Service Home Manager

Tule johtamaan arkea, jolla on merkitys. We are seeking a Service Home Manager for Kurjenpolven palvelukoti in Polvijärvi. Kurjenpolven palvelukoti provides around-the-clock assisted living for 12 adults with support needs, such as those with developmental disabilities. Our daily life is built on participation, safety and the right to live a life that reflects each person’s individuality. Your task is to lead the unit’s operations as the team’s supervisor. You will ensure residents’ daily life is safe, personalised and with individuality. You will take care that activities are of high quality, impactful and financially sustainable. You will be present in the daily life of the care home; about half of your time is client-facing work and half is administrative leadership. As the daily leader and enabler, you keep direction clear while working close to people and the team. We value interpersonal skills, willingness to make decisions and a desire to lead work so that quality, well-being and adaptability go hand in hand. Your duties include: shift planning and HR matters such as recruitment and onboarding; ensuring supervision, medication safety and safety execution; unit budgeting and monitoring; cooperation with relatives, wellbeing regions and other partners; developing unit operations together with residents and the team. We expect: a suitable higher education degree in social and health care (e.g., AMK Social Services or AMK Nurse), Valvira registration and valid sote-professional card; sufficient experience in the disability sector; strong knowledge of the Disability Services Act (675/2023); leadership skills from studies or work experience; vaccination protection under the Infectious Diseases Act and valid medication licenses; presenting a clean criminal record before start.
