We are hiring a TEMPORARY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER for Ylikiiminki Daycare Center for the 2026 - 2027 operational period. The position initially involves working with children under 3 years old. Ylikiiminki Daycare Center was built in 2019 next to a school. Morning and evening care are provided as needed based on care reservations, Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 22:00. The daycare has four groups. Children are aged 0-6 years. The center includes a preschool group. Collaboration between preschool and primary education is natural and close: we are in the same yard, so daily contact is natural, and we regularly implement joint teaching with primary education. The goal is to support the individual learning of children during the transition from preschool to primary education. Qualifications for early childhood education teachers are based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, §26), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same act (§75). A Bachelor's degree in Education must include professional studies in early childhood education or at least 60 ECTS credits in social and health care studies focused on early childhood education and social pedagogy. Knowledge of pedagogy for children under three, experience working in small groups or sibling groups, and familiarity with full-day pedagogy are considered an advantage. The salary for the early childhood education teacher position is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,864.37 to €2,975.07. The actual salary consists of the task-specific pay and possible other levels according to the OVTES agreement. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act §55, the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable statement that the employee or intern does not have active tuberculosis.
