As the Area Manager of the TAO department, you are responsible for the comprehensive management of your designated areas and for the completion of the work in the area according to the project schedule, budget, and quality requirements. In this position, you play a key role between different stakeholders, suppliers, subcontractors, and shipyard operations, ensuring smooth cooperation and production progress. You lead the daily operations in your areas of responsibility, monitor work progress, and actively participate in solving production challenges. You take care of monitoring the costs of your area and report on the status and progress of the areas to the Department Manager. In this position, you will work in close cooperation with production, design, procurement, suppliers, and other actors in the project organization. A central part of the role is to ensure that all parties work in accordance with common goals safely, with quality, and efficiently. What do we expect from you? We expect a suitable technical education for the position and experience from the shipbuilding industry or similar demanding production management tasks. You will succeed in the position if you have: at least five years of experience in the shipbuilding industry good oral and written skills in Finnish and English strong communication and interaction skills the ability to lead and motivate personnel and partners to achieve common goals negotiation skills, for example, in situations related to schedules, quality, and modification work a goal-oriented, proactive, and systematic way of working good cooperation skills and the ability to operate in a multicultural work environment the ability to prioritize and manage several simultaneous tasks in a changing project environment.
