We are looking for a project employee for a fixed-term employment contract from 1.9.2026-31.8.2027 (or start by agreement) for the Lapinlahti regional laboratory. Valio Oy Lapinlahti regional laboratory operates in connection with the Lapinlahti plant. About 25 people work in the laboratory in chemical and microbiological quality control. In addition to Lapinlahti, we serve other Valio sites. The duties of the fixed-term employment include project-like development work in laboratory analytics such as tasks related to the commissioning of equipment, planning of verifications, implementation of verifications, processing of results and reporting. In addition, the duties include analyzing samples at chemistry workstations, starting from recording samples in information systems and ending with reporting results. Key determinations are accredited based on the ISO 17025 standard, and an important part of the work is the implementation of the laboratory's internal quality control. Success in the tasks requires: - A suitable UAS degree or studies in the final stage (e.g. laboratory technology engineer, laboratory analyst) - Knowledge and experience of laboratory analytics and laboratory operations according to ISO 17025 - A flexible, responsible and positive attitude towards work and the development of work - Good cooperation and organizational skills - Ability for independent initiative in problem-solving work - Fluent use of Office programs and LIMS system management - Ability to utilize statistical methods - Previous experience in laboratory work - Mastery of chemical analysis, for example XRF and NIR analysis - Fluent English language skills We value an active, positive and efficient attitude, readiness for change in rapidly changing situations and a desire to do things in a group developing operations. We produce milk and whey powders as raw materials for industry as well as consumer-packed milk and baby food powders and Edam and Emmental type cheeses. The plant employs about 280 people in various production, maintenance and laboratory tasks.
