The Salvation Army Foundation is seeking a Maintenance Foreman to lead and develop the maintenance and upkeep operations of its properties and condominiums. The role involves planning, organizing, and daily management of maintenance functions, leading the maintenance team, and ensuring the operational condition of properties, apartments, and technical systems. The position requires close cooperation with customers, partners, and internal staff, and includes hands-on technical work when necessary. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance work, supervising and onboarding maintenance staff, monitoring repair activities, ensuring quality and safety, and participating in budgeting and cost management. The role is a permanent, full-time day job based in Helsinki (Kallio), requiring travel within the capital region. Candidates should be practical supervisors with the ability to lead a team and organize multiple simultaneous tasks. Technical understanding of property maintenance is essential. Requirements include excellent Finnish language skills, a Class B driver's license, experience in maintenance or property management, and basic IT skills (O365, Teams). Experience in construction, renovations, and supervisory roles is highly valued. English or Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
