About the role

We are looking for a Manager, Environmental Responsibility to lead environmental management within Orion Pharma Global Operations (G-OPS). In this role, you will have a key position in driving environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance, and supporting the continuous development of sustainable operations across our sites. Environmental responsibility is an essential part of Orion Pharma’s operations and long-term sustainability. This role is particularly important as we continue to strengthen our environmental management practices, improve operational performance, and support Orion’s environmental targets through concrete development initiatives, clear processes, and effective collaboration across sites and functions. This is a manager-level position without line management responsibilities. You will report to the Director, Facility Management & Company Security and work closely in a matrix organization with the Director, EHS and other key stakeholders across G-OPS. This is a permanent, full-time position. The position can be based either in Turku or Espoo, Finland. Hybrid working is supported in accordance with Orion's policies. The preferred start date is 1 September 2026, or even earlier if possible. Responsibilities In this role, you will: - Lead and manage environmental responsibility within G-OPS in line with Orion’s EHS policies and applicable regulations - Develop and manage the G-OPS environmental management system, including ISO 14001-related practices, processes, and ways of working - Plan, implement, monitor, and continuously improve environmental management operations - Define environmental objectives, targets, and KPIs, and drive their implementation and follow-up - Ensure that environmental regulations, standards, and procedures are recognized and implemented across operations - Drive environmental improvement programs and projects aligned with Orion’s corporate targets - Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including G-OPS management, EHS and Sustainability functions, to establish targets and processes - Act as the main contact towards relevant authorities and support environmental inspections and audits (e.g. by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes)) - Lead the G-OPS environmental management network - Provide expert support and guidance to sites and stakeholders to foster a strong environmental responsibility culture What are we looking for? To succeed in this role, you have: - Relevant educational background in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field - Solid experience in environmental management, preferably in industrial or regulated environments - Strong understanding of environmental regulations and EHS frameworks - Experience in developing management systems, processes, and KPIs - Practical experience in environmental topics such as wastewater, emissions, waste management, chemicals, environmental permits, and related operational compliance - Ability to lead complex topics and drive change across an organization - Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Fluency in Finnish and a strong working proficiency in English In addition, the following will be considered an advantage: - Experience working with authorities and inspections - Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing environments How to apply Please submit your resume and cover letter by 9 August 2026.
