About the role

The East Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE / PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE for a fixed-term position from 14.8.2026 to 30.6.2027, or starting as agreed. The position is primarily based at the Askola Health Center. We are looking for a registered nurse to join our team! Key duties include diverse nursing tasks at the health center, including emergency and appointment-based clinics, as well as assessing care needs via telephone, at the clinic, and through digital channels. In this role, you will need good patient guidance and interaction skills, an independent and proactive approach to work, and a team spirit. We value experience in similar duties, independent work at a clinic, and emergency care expertise, but you will, of course, receive the necessary orientation for the position. Supporting you in your duties is the entire team, consisting of practical nurses, registered nurses, public health nurses, and doctors, where every employee is equal. We use a consultation model, meaning you can consult a doctor regarding a patient's care regardless of the time or day during the working day. We are flexible, communicative, and take care of one another. Working hours are on weekdays, primarily between 7:45 AM and 4:15 PM. Eligibility requirements include a degree in nursing or public health nursing and legal authorization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994) (JulkiTerhikki). Language requirements include a good command of Finnish. Proficiency in both national languages is considered an advantage. Terms of employment are determined by the SOTE agreement. A probationary period applies. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis screening as per Section 55. Submit your application by 13.8.2026 at 11:59 PM. For more information about the position, contact team leader Minna Vastela at minna.vastela@itauusimaa.fi or tel. 040 676 7704. Priority in filling the position will be given to employees terminated from the East Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County for production or financial reasons, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
