The role combines the development of reporting processes, analytics, and system cooperation within a domestic and European operating environment. This position is suitable for you if you have a strong grip on data, analytics, and development. We are seeking an EXPERT to support the prerequisites for data-based supervision and analysis, and to develop regulatory reporting processes and systems. High-quality, consistent, and timely reporting is the cornerstone of the Financial Supervisory Authority's data-based supervision and analytical work. Together with our other reporting experts, you will be responsible for monitoring the arrival of regulatory reports, quality assurance, and delivery to European supervisory authorities, as well as monitoring and implementing reporting changes. You will develop new solutions to streamline reporting processes and improve quality assurance. You will participate in the work of European reporting working groups relevant to your field. Additionally, you will participate in the development of the Financial Supervisory Authority's reporting system, the resolution of potential problem situations, and definition and testing tasks. You will work in close cooperation with reporting experts from the Financial Supervisory Authority and the Bank of Finland, as well as an external system provider. Depending on your expertise and interests, you will also have the opportunity to participate in other projects supporting the Financial Supervisory Authority's digitalization development. What do we expect from you? You have gained work experience in expert roles within the financial sector relevant to the position. You have experience in system and digital development projects supporting business operations and a track record of successful project work. We also value your perspective on utilizing new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in the development of processes and analytics. You have a proven track record of strong management of business-supporting information systems and fluent use of analytical tools or programming languages (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, R, Python) for processing and analyzing various datasets. You are a goal-oriented and independent problem solver who acts constructively and efficiently both individually and in a group. You are enthusiastic about developing new things and motivated to deepen and expand your expertise. You are accustomed to working under schedule pressure and can clearly identify and communicate the most essential points from broad entities in Finnish and English, both written and orally. You have a university degree suitable for the position (e.g., economics, finance, statistics, or information systems science). Studies in information systems science, experience with cloud-based information systems, and prior knowledge of the business and regulation of financial sector actors as well as regulatory reporting (e.g., COREP, FINREP, Solvency II, AIFMD) and its processes are considered an advantage. The salary and other benefits for the position are determined according to the Bank of Finland's remuneration practices. The position is placed in demand category 15 in the Bank of Finland's remuneration system (position-specific salary part 3,858 euros/month). In addition, a salary part based on performance and professional management of up to 48% of the position-specific salary is paid. The Financial Analysis Office of the Digitalization and Analysis Department analyzes the profitability, solvency, and risks of supervised entities. Our goal is to identify risks and pressures for change that threaten the stability of financial markets in advance. We analyze the impact of the operating environment and markets on the financial condition and future prospects of the financial sector's supervised entities and coordinate macro-prudential policy decision-making prepared in broad official cooperation. A key task is also the extensive collection of supervisory data. We are responsible for its quality control and deliver data to various stakeholders, including European supervisory authorities. With the applicant's consent, a security clearance (Security Clearances Act 726/2014), health check, and drug test may be performed.
