A lecturer is sought for a permanent position in the technology sector at the Kaukovainio site, starting August 10, 2026, or by agreement. The teaching assignment includes teaching and guidance in the vocational qualification, further vocational qualification, and specialist vocational qualification in mechanical and production engineering, as well as in paid educational sales, and participation in the development of teaching activities and the organization of planning. In addition to teaching and guidance, the position includes guidance for workplace-based learning and potentially project work. In this role, you will teach professional qualification modules related to machine installation and automation in mechanical and production engineering. Teaching may also take place in the evenings. Eligibility must be evident from your application. Additionally, we require a suitable higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical and production engineering), pedagogical qualification for teachers, and at least three years of diverse and up-to-date practical work experience in the field of machine installation and automation in mechanical and production engineering to support the teaching work of this position. Previous experience in teaching mechanical and production engineering, machine installation, and machine automation in a vocational institution and experience acting as a personal teacher are considered an advantage. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the municipal education sector official and collective agreement (OVTES). A 6-month probationary period applies to the employment relationship.
