The task is to support students in identifying their interests and finding suitable hobbies from the existing offerings. The work begins on August 1, 2026, or by agreement, and ends on July 31, 2027. The work is carried out within a seven-member project team. Hobbying is seen in the Turku model as a broad field, including arts, culture, sports, science, and nature hobbies. Responsibilities of the activity instructor: - Conduct outreach activities in elementary schools in Turku, identify students not engaged in hobbies, and provide advice and support to help students find hobbies they enjoy through the outreach activities at their schools. - Guide, plan, and prepare regional outreach activities for the Hobbying Turku Model project for students in grades 1-9 in Turku's elementary schools. - Promote the project's activities in schools and encourage students to participate in hobbies. - Support other activities of the Hobbying Turku Model project, such as collaboration with hobby coordinators, collecting feedback, engaging children and youth, documenting activities, and reporting as part of the project. - Perform other tasks assigned by the employer. Qualifications: - Suitable vocational college degree in sports, youth work, or arts and culture. - Relevant work experience and experience working with children and youth. Skills: - Good interaction skills and an enthusiastic attitude to reach the target group.
