Surgery-focused Veterinarian

We are seeking a veterinarian at Eläinsairaala Veter in Tampere with specialization in soft tissue surgery or strong interest in pursuing it, for a full-time permanent position. Part-time work is also possible. Work is organized as a 6-week cycle (240 hours) with weekday shifts; on-call duties may also be performed if desired. The start is planned for autumn 2026. The role offers opportunities to participate in complex surgeries within a hospital environment, with access to a broad set of surgical instruments, endoscopic equipment, and CT imaging. The clinic provides ongoing patient care after surgery and, when needed, use of blood products. There is colleague support from within the hospital and among the Evidensia soft tissue surgery network for case discussions, skill development, and easy access to consultation. We will also design a training plan to meet your needs, and there is potential to complete a specialist diploma in small animal surgery.
