Software Engineer

We pull medical technology from the future to solve human health. Scarlet is authorised to assess and certify medical devices. We combine clinical, technical and regulatory expertise with AI agents and software so rigorous certification can keep pace with product development at the world’s most ambitious technology companies, without lowering the safety bar. Our customers have cut a year or more from their certification timelines for new AI-enabled medical devices and shortened product-update cycles from months to weeks. You’ll join a team building the infrastructure that makes these outcomes repeatable at scale. The team is everything at Scarlet and we aspire to shape and nurture a team where every team member really cares about our customers, works cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, designers, regulatory experts, and other stakeholders, collaborates on solving hard, important, real-world problems, helps bring out the best in each other and supports growth, brings a diverse set of experiences, and feels that what we do day-to-day is deeply meaningful. We’re looking for ambitious teammates who have at least a few years of experience, have an insatiable hunger to learn, and want to do the most important work of their career! The interview process includes multiple chats and a coding session. Getting together happens at our offices in London a minimum of twice a year for a week. About you: Professional Clojure experience, professional full-stack web development experience, health tech / regulatory space experience, independent thinker, curiosity, excellent communication, and willingness to travel to London. Compensation includes Base Salary €100K – €175K with equity. We meet the minimum twice-yearly in London and value asynchronous collaboration, low/no meetings, high trust, and autonomy.
