We are seeking a FABRICATION LEAD / PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER for shipbuilding production for our client, SATA Shipbuilding Oy. We are looking for an experienced and goal-oriented production team leader to be responsible for the operational management and daily guidance of their own hull production in a shipyard environment. In this role, you will hold a key position in ensuring the smooth implementation of production together with work supervisors, the production manager, and other stakeholders. Success in this position requires strong production management skills, a solution-oriented approach, and the ability to lead operations safely, with high quality and efficiency in a changing environment. Job Description The Production Team Leader is responsible for the practical implementation of designated production areas or work phases in accordance with agreed schedule, quality, cost, and safety targets. Your responsibilities include: Production Management and Guidance * Responsible for the practical implementation of production areas or work phases (e.g., block construction, outfitting, welding, assembly) * Guide and support work supervisors and team leaders in daily operations * Ensure production plans are implemented according to the schedule * React to deviations and initiate necessary corrective actions Schedule, Resources, and Efficiency * Participate in weekly and daily production planning * Ensure efficient use of resources * Monitor production progress and report the status to the production manager * Support continuous improvement development measures (efficiency, lead time) Quality, Occupational Safety, and Environment * Ensure that work is carried out according to the shipyard's quality requirements and drawings * Promote and monitor occupational safety and safe working methods * Intervene immediately in observed safety and quality risks * Support the implementation of environmental and sustainability goals in production Cooperation and Communication * Work closely with the production manager, planning, procurement, quality, logistics, and subcontractors * Participate in production meetings and status reviews * Ensure the flow of information between production and supervisors * Support the guidance and performance monitoring of subcontractors What we expect from you * Experience in production management in an industrial or shipyard environment * Ability to lead people and coordinate multiple work phases simultaneously * Understanding of production schedule, quality, and safety requirements * Solution-oriented and goal-driven approach * Good cooperation and communication skills * Fluent Finnish language skills; English proficiency is considered an advantage We offer * A responsible and versatile role at the heart of shipbuilding * The opportunity to influence production development and improve operating methods * A professional and collaborative work community * Competitive employment benefits and the possibility of a long-term career Interested?
