Jalo & Jalo is a Turku-based family business founded in 1972, specializing in person lifting. With strong growth and acquisitions, we are the Nordic region’s largest rental provider of elevating platforms, operating nationwide in Finland from eight sites, with a Swedish subsidiary Svenska Höjdliftar based in Stockholm. We employ over 100 professionals in the lifting industry and maintain a fleet of 175 units. We are looking for an autonomous, organized, goal-oriented Project Manager to lead projects, develop customer relationships, and grow business, especially in Sweden and Norway and possibly the Baltics. You will work closely with customers, authorities, partners, and our own field operations. The role requires an active approach, ability to manage large scopes, and willingness to travel in the Nordics. Responsibilities include sales and customer development for projects, project planning, initiation and leadership, supporting bidding and contract negotiations, coordinating permits and authorities for international projects, resource planning with site logistics, tracking schedules, costs and quality, collaborating with customers, authorities, subcontractors and other stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities. Requirements include a suitable educational background or equivalent experience, proven project management or supervisory experience and business development, ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational, collaboration and negotiation skills, fluent Finnish and English, willingness to travel in the Nordics and Baltics, independent decision-making, good IT skills and ability to adopt new systems and processes, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Desirable factors include knowledge of Swedish, international business experience, familiarity with Nordic markets and authorities, experience from industrial, energy, infrastructure or construction projects, and a track record of building customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
