Job Description
Lapland Staff is seeking a Travel Services Coordinator for the Olos location. As a Travel Services Coordinator at Lapland Hotels and Lapland Safaris, you will be part of the largest activity provider in the Nordic countries and a well-known domestic hotel chain. You will gain insight into the operations of a large and dynamic company and network within the tourism industry. The role offers challenges and opportunities for development. The Travel Services Coordinator is responsible for operational sales in the hotel and safari sectors at the destination. The person ensures smooth charter operations by acting as the contact for group operations, managing group schedules, and coordinating airport transfers, safaris, and hotel and restaurant services. The role emphasizes quick and seamless communication and collaboration between safari and hotel departments, integrating services for the customer. Your knowledge will be vital in ensuring information flows effectively among all parties. The coordinator has a diverse background and understanding of our group's services and products (Lapland Safaris / Lapland Hotels / Lapland Ski Resorts). You will also plan and price activity packages, handle quotes and orders with international clients, and communicate in both Finnish and English. The role involves close cooperation with service providers and our production team. It is important to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous project management experience, sales experience, and international business correspondence are desirable. The role involves independent work with both foreign and domestic clients. As a coordinator, you will plan and schedule group programs, book services based on confirmed offers, agree on program details with clients, and handle invoicing. Before the group arrives, you will plan logistics with the production team and provide operational instructions for staff. You need a goal-oriented approach and good time management skills. Sales-mindedness and customer- and business-oriented thinking are also required. It is important to understand what Lapland Safaris and Lapland Hotels have to offer. You should be enthusiastic about travel and passionate about developing tourism in Lapland. You seek the best solutions for customer needs. Your workplace will be in Muonio, Olos. Assistance with finding accommodation or shared housing is provided. Required skills and knowledge: - Experience in the hotel, tourism, or activity service industry - Good teamwork and communication skills - Responsible work attitude - Good system skills (experience with Explores and Opera Cloud is an advantage) - Fluent Finnish and English skills.
