Are you a professional in clinical laboratory work who is not afraid of challenges? Do you want to deepen your professional expertise in hematology at the Meilahti Special Hematology laboratory? HUS Diagnostics Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of operation is the specialized medical care of the HUS group and the primary health care of the wellbeing services counties belonging to HUS. We are also responsible for the laboratory and imaging operations of the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia wellbeing services counties. We operate in eight medical specialties. Nationally, we are responsible for several examinations requiring special expertise as well as research and teaching belonging to the university hospital. Diagnostic examinations play a central role in confirming, excluding, treating, monitoring, and screening diseases. Approximately 3,300 laboratory and imaging experts work at HUS Diagnostics Center in over 150 locations. We are looking for a bioanalyst/laboratory nurse for a permanent employment contract in the Special Hematology laboratory of the HUSLAB building. In the Special Hematology laboratory, flow cytometric examinations, smear preparations and their staining, differential counting and other cell morphological examinations are performed, and participation in bone marrow sampling is required. In addition, the Special Hematology laboratory includes a stem cell team. Nurse teams work in close cooperation with other clinical hematology experts and actively participate in the development of operations. Blood sampling is also part of the duties. The work is mainly day work. The work requires a customer-oriented way of working, flexibility, excellent teamwork and interaction skills, ability to withstand pressure, and the courage to accept new challenges. Previous work experience in special hematology is considered an advantage.
