Work Supervisor

The Work Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing green maintenance in their own area. The area of operation is Old Espoo and the base is in Teirinsyrjä, Mikkeli. The team consists of about 16 permanent staff and a supervisor role; in summer, the staff increases with seasonal workers. Our maintenance unit handles general area maintenance on both streets and green spaces. In total, around 100 people work in green maintenance in the summer, about ten of whom are office and supervisory staff. We operate across Espoo with the largest bases in Mikkeli, Mankkaala and Leppävaara. Key duties include organizing green-space maintenance work, ensuring quality according to maintenance classifications, internal city and national stakeholder collaboration, managing the unit’s staff, recruitment and well-being, acting as a specialist in maintenance and greens, overseeing the unit’s equipment, participating in public procurements as a subject-matter preparer, handling customer feedback and resident cooperation, and producing reports and using various ERP systems. Start date: 1 September 2026 or by agreement. Qualifications: A suitable university or college-level degree. We require experience in greens maintenance and supervision, along with good IT skills. The role involves working in a large organization with professionals in the field; a B-class driving license is required.
