We are seeking shipyard machinists for fixed-term positions with our client. As a machine assembler, your role is to guide high-quality, planned shipbuilding work. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to machine installations on different areas of the ship. You will cooperate with partners during commissioning on various ship projects and ensure safety within your own area. Work largely on land rather than at sea, with locations in Turku, Uusikaupunki, and Rauma. Overtime is possible, including weekends. There is possibility to move to the client’s projects later. Your training may be e.g. pipefitter, machine assembler, watchkeeper, machine master, or plate welder; the key is familiarity with tools and experience in machine installation. We value willingness to take on new challenges, teamwork, initiative, and organizational ability. Prior experience in machine installation or shipboard construction is preferred but not mandatory if you have performed other installation work. If you meet the following requirements, you may be our candidate: several years of experience in similar work; valid occupational safety card; good Finnish language skills (supervision language is Finnish); high work ethic and independence; good social skills for working with people even under pressure.
