Job Details
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall implementation, adaptive management, and strategic oversight of the IIWMP
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Project Management Unit (PMU)
- Coordinate with national and local stakeholders including MWE, MoH, NEMA, and Masaka City Council
- Oversee procurement and construction of Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and healthcare waste treatment facility
- Establish and maintain the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system
- Manage the project budget and ensure compliance with UNDP financial rules
- Develop comprehensive scale-up plans based on the Masaka pilot
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Building/Construction Engineering, Environmental Management/Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience
- Fluent in English Language
