Job Details

Responsibilities

Lead the overall implementation, adaptive management, and strategic oversight of the IIWMP
Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Project Management Unit (PMU)
Coordinate with national and local stakeholders including MWE, MoH, NEMA, and Masaka City Council
Oversee procurement and construction of Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and healthcare waste treatment facility
Establish and maintain the project's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system
Manage the project budget and ensure compliance with UNDP financial rules
Develop comprehensive scale-up plans based on the Masaka pilot

Requirements

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Building/Construction Engineering, Environmental Management/Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience
Fluent in English Language
