We are seeking a Designer for student administration system work for a permanent employment contract at Kainuu Vocational College student services, starting December 1, 2026, or as agreed. You will work as part of the Wilma/Primus team, whose task is the development, key-user management, and reporting of the student administration system. The Designer's role involves serving as one of the key users (Visma Inschool: Primus and Wilma), with a primary area of responsibility in vocational education and upper secondary school. The Designer builds and maintains the student administration system's reports, forms, searches, as well as data transfers and process automation. Tasks include key-user responsibilities for national data transfers, quality monitoring, and enabling data-driven management (Koski, eHOKS, Arvo). Additionally, the role involves supporting staff in using the student administration system. The eligibility requirement is a higher education degree suitable for the position. We require expertise in student administration systems (Visma Inschool: Primus/Kurre/Wilma), knowledge of vocational education processes, funding models, and key legislation, precision, organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks in changing situations, and a proactive, responsible, and developmental approach to work. Experience in guidance work, expertise in second-level education (vocational and upper secondary), and proficiency in some of the following areas are considered an advantage: database queries, data modeling and data flow descriptions, system integrations, or programming. Original eligibility certificates must be presented during a possible interview. Salary is a level salary of 3,116.72 euros according to KVTES, working hours 36.25 h/week. Priority in filling the position will be given to employees of the City of Kajaani who are subject to layoff or suspension of work, provided they meet the eligibility requirements. The position may be filled on a fixed-term basis if no applicant meeting the eligibility requirements is found. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002, an approved health certificate, and, upon separate request, a drug test certificate.
