Job Description

The project worker's role involves coordinating recreational activities for primary school students, as well as communication, marketing, and production tasks within the Hobbying Turku Model initiative. The work begins on August 1, 2026, or as agreed, and ends on July 31, 2027. Approximately 75% of the job involves coordinating sports and other activities (including digital, science, and nature hobbies). Tasks related to coordinating hobby activities include: - Production and coordination tasks for organizing hobby groups for grades 1-9 and trial activities for middle school students. The remaining approximately 25% of the role focuses on communication and marketing activities within the Hobbying Turku Model. Communication planning and implementation are carried out in collaboration with the city's communication unit and a seven-member project team. Tasks include: - Acting as a contact person for project partners and networks of hobby organizers in Turku, - Producing communication content about the project's hobby offerings, - Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop hobby communication, - Developing communication about hobby activities for schools in Turku. The role may also include assisting other project staff. Candidates should have experience in planning, organizing, or coordinating children's and youth's hobbies or leisure activities. They should also be proficient in using various communication channels and able to work independently and quickly take on tasks. Candidates should have familiarity with the leisure activities and offerings for children and youth in Turku. A suitable lower university degree or previous polytechnic degree is required. Good organizational and coordination skills, administrative experience, and communication experience are considered advantages. Proficiency in Swedish and English, as well as active social skills, are also valued.
