Special Education Teacher

We are re-advertising for a special education teacher for the period 24.8.2026 - 31.7.2027 at Orivesi Comprehensive School. Our school has 275 students from the seventh to the ninth grade. Our school emphasizes an active culture of learning and development through high-quality basic education, extensive international education, and UNESCO school activities. We require the ability to meet students and their families with warmth, strong pedagogical expertise, and an enthusiastic approach to work. Train connections to both Tampere and Jämsä are good, and the city center of Orivesi is conveniently reachable from the train station via public transport. Eligibility requirements are determined in accordance with the Decree on the Eligibility Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/1998). Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to OVTES. Scanned degree certificates proving eligibility must be attached to the application. A five-month probationary period applies to the filling of the position. Before the start of employment, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).
