Avant Power is part of the Avant Group, a Finnish family-owned company and the global market leader in compact loaders. We are now recruiting for on open position with a title of Product Designer (UI/UX) ⚡Your main tasks As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of Avant Power's cloud-based energy solutions. You’ll work closely with product owners, engineers, domain experts, and end users to design intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling interfaces for both internal and customer-facing applications. Your responsibilities include designing user interfaces for Avant Power's machines and equipment. This role combines user-centered design with practical implementation skills. While your primary focus will be on UX research, interaction design, and visual design, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute directly to frontend development and help ensure that designs are translated into high-quality user experiences. Your responsibilities include: ⚡Designing, UI/UX Designing intuitive and accessible interfaces for web-based applications and machines / equipment Conducting user research, interviews, workshops, and usability studies with both internal users and external customers Understanding user needs, workflows, and business requirements, and translating them into effective product experiences Validating designs through user testing and iterative improvement Maintaining and evolving design systems, component libraries, and UX guidelines Creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma ⚡Collaboration with different stakeholder groups Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle Advocating for user-centered thinking across product and development teams ⚡Implementation & front-end Contributing to frontend implementation when needed using React and Material UI This is a role with significant impact and ownership: you'll help define how our products are used by customers and colleagues alike, influencing both product direction and the day-to-day experience of our users. ⚡Our tech stack You’ll be working with modern cloud-based products and applications used in the energy sector. Design & Product Discovery Figma for UI design, prototyping, and design systems User interviews, workshops, and usability testing User journey mapping, service design, and workflow analysis Design system development and maintenance Frontend React with TypeScript Material UI (MUI) Modern frontend development practices and component-based architecture REST and GraphQL APIs Cloud Platform AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture Real-time and IoT-driven energy management applications Data-rich operational dashboards and monitoring tools ⚡Who are we looking for? We’re looking for someone who combines strong design capabilities with technical understanding and a genuine interest in solving real user problems. You likely have experience in: UI/UX design for complex web applications, SaaS platforms, or enterprise systems Conducting user research and translating findings into actionable design improvements Creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished production-ready designs Working with design systems and component libraries Collaborating closely with software engineers and product stakeholders Frontend development using React, TypeScript, or similar modern web technologies Bonus points for experience with: Material UI or similar component frameworks Data visualization and dashboard design Industrial, IoT, energy, or operational technology applications Accessibility and inclusive design practices Service design and business process mapping ⚡Why Join Avant Power?
