Early childhood education teacher

We are seeking a preschool teacher for a fixed-term contract at Taaveti Taavetin daycare. Our aim is to ensure every child is heard and treated as their own person, and that each child feels they belong to a group and can influence their daily life in the daycare. The recent family survey shows families are very satisfied with our daycare, and we offer a professional, communal atmosphere with opportunities to develop and apply your skills. We emphasize continuous training for staff and expect you to be development-oriented, possess good communication skills, and approach work with a positive and solution-focused attitude. In our unit we monitor the implementation of work time regulations and regularly hold peda-teams to develop joint activities and pedagogical conversation. The position requires compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) or, by transitional provision (75 §), a Bachelor's degree in Education, an appropriate university-of-applied-sciences degree, or an earlier equivalent teacher qualification such as kindergarten teacher or social educator (as per law 272/2005 and regulation no. 608/2005). We also require good Finnish oral and written proficiency and a clean criminal record for working with children (504/2002). Join our capable team!
