About the role

Jakeman Oy is a company specializing in steel structures. Our factories are located in Kuohu and Uurainen. We employ a total of approximately 50 professionals in the steel structure industry. We design, manufacture, and install steel structures for the construction industry and industrial companies. Our company is known for good customer service and high quality. We all focus on efficient work with a positive attitude and a proactive spirit. We are looking for welders/plater-welders to join our team, either in Kuohu or Uurainen. Your primary task will be the assembly welding of steel structures. We manufacture project-specific steel structures, so our products vary by project. Varying assemblies require good ability to read drawings and three-dimensional visualization skills. You will primarily work with black structural steels using modern machinery and welding equipment. We expect a self-motivated and active approach to work and a desire to develop operations. Experience with steel structures and a machine shop environment is an advantage. MIG/MAG certifications, occupational safety, and hot work permits are considered an advantage. If necessary, we will provide training for the required permits and certifications. Working hours are generally weekdays 07:00 - 15:30. During peak periods, 2-shift work is also possible. Work starts immediately/by agreement. Salary according to the Technology Industries collective agreement. Further information about the position can be obtained on weekdays from Erkki Kurkipuro tel. 040-505-3430
