Healthcare assistant

Are you a healthcare assistant with an interest in acute, on-call internal medicine patient care? We are seeking to add one assistant to our permanent staff for a start on 28 September 2026 or by agreement to the Internal Medicine ward 2 at Malmi Hospital. Ward 2 treats acutely ill internal medicine and cardiology patients, patients with complex infections, and cancer patients in various disease stages. The ward has 20 beds and eight telemetry monitoring spots. Patients come to the ward 24/7 from HUS joint emergency services, on-call duty, or CCU. Average length of stay is 3–5 days. The work is engaging and offers professional challenges and much to learn. We train new social and health care professionals on the job, and our CLES evaluations are excellent. We work in a three-shift, multidisciplinary team. We expect from you: a) a qualification as a practical nurse or basic nurse plus registration with the National Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira), b) experience in acute care of acutely ill patients, c) willingness and curiosity to learn and teach, d) ability to work in a team.
