About the role

We offer an interesting position and an excellent work community for an intern working with cultural environment tasks. The Restoration Guidance Unit, part of the Cultural Environment Services department, is responsible for expert and authority tasks related to restoration guidance and their development on a national level. The unit's task is to participate in the guidance and advisory of the care, restoration, and renovation of the state's building heritage, buildings protected by the Building Heritage Act, and ecclesiastical building heritage, as well as to be responsible for the guidance and supervision of the restoration of the Finnish Heritage Agency's museum and attraction sites. The intern's duties include tasks related to content production for the Finnish Heritage Agency's Korjaustaito.fi website, as well as participation in other authority and development tasks of the Cultural Environment Services department according to the selected person's interests and skills. This position is part of the government's goal to hire 500 young people into new fixed-term employment relationships during 2026. The positions are intended for persons aged 18–25 seeking their first job with the state. The selected person must not have other public funding during the internship period. The selected person does not necessarily have to be a student; you could also be, for example, a recent graduate. We offer the intern comprehensive orientation and guidance throughout the employment period. The place of work is located in Helsinki, at the National Museum (Mannerheimintie 34). There are no specified eligibility requirements for the position. The position is subject to a one (1) month probationary period.
