Job Description

Are you a new Lidl employee? We are looking for a fixed-term Employment Lawyer for our head office HR department to strengthen our employment team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting the business and advising on labor law issues, as well as ensuring, implementing, and developing operations in accordance with labor legislation. Additionally, the department is responsible for adhering to HR compliance principles and processes, risk management, training, and strengthening the compliance culture in cooperation with our international organization. In this role, you will act as the legal expert for HR. Your responsibilities include handling labor law and HR compliance issues, providing advice and guidance based on the interpretation of the Employment Contracts Act and collective agreements. You will be responsible for drafting and maintaining personnel documents and process instructions used in the company. You will serve as a key contact person between our international organization and the Finnish HR teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and implementing internal training included in the department's job description, leading and consulting on labor law HR projects, and collaborating on labor market cooperation with the team. Your place of work is at our head office in Niittykummu, Espoo, and after initial orientation, you can work according to our hybrid work model. This means we work at least half of the month at our pleasant office and can work remotely otherwise. The start date is negotiable, but we hope you can start as soon as possible. The position is fixed-term, continuing until the end of October 2027. What we hope for from you: - Suitable education – You have a Master of Laws (LL.M.). We are particularly pleased if you have emphasized labor law modules or other HR themes in your studies. - At least a few years of relevant work experience – Your career has already included practical experience in labor law roles. Previous experience in HR compliance or project management is also considered an advantage. - Good communication skills – You master legal argumentation convincingly both orally and in writing. You can clarify complex contexts and ensure that instructions and operating models are implemented in the organization. You work fluently in both Finnish and English. - Initiative and solution-orientedness – You can identify areas for development and act on them. You always strive to find solutions, even the smallest ones. You are motivated by a sense of achievement. - Team and cooperation skills – Thanks to your expertise, you have the skill for independent work, but you also enjoy solving problems as a team. You want to develop operations in cooperation and network easily across department boundaries. What we offer you: - We ensure pay equity in our company with an equal pay system. The starting salary for this position is 4800 €/month, but the salary will be specified based on the selected person's experience, skills, and final responsibilities. - Diverse and interesting tasks in a growing and international company where communication is bold and daily work is full of energy. - Lidl is a large and international company offering various sprints, paths, and marathons. We can assure you that you will get all the positive aspects of a large company. Your orientation will be thorough, and you will have great opportunities to develop your skills, as we have a comprehensive range of training. We spend 2.5 million euros annually on training our employees. - As a Lidl employee, you get a six percent staff discount in our stores, as well as an e-pass and various partner benefits. Additionally, we organize staff events and support the well-being of Lidl employees with occupational healthcare. - Modern workspaces at our head office in Niittykummu, Espoo, which includes a gym and offers snack fruits and refreshments. Of course, we also have flexible working hours and the possibility of partial remote work. - A fair working atmosphere and a workplace where you can be yourself – we are committed to working for a safe working environment and equality. Our values are efficient operation, respect, trust, practicality, and community, and we act accordingly. Join us! Our employment team is full of expertise. Despite their responsible tasks, this team does not forget laughter or humor even in tight situations. Work weeks and independent work are colored by gathering regularly for a common lunch or cup of coffee and exchanging the day's news. In addition to your team, your cooperation network consists of many HR and legal experts both in Finland and internationally. Apply by August 5th. Attach your CV and application.
